Counseling
We view counseling as a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. We work together to help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.
individual counseling
We work one-on-one with the client, in a safe, caring, and confidential environment to build trust and personal growth. In Individual counseling we focus on the individual's immediate or near future concerns.
Relationship cOUNSELING
Love your relationship again. Everyone goes through rough patches or as I like to call them pivotal moments. These moments causes you to begin to question your relationship. Guess what! This is perfectly normal when you bring two different worlds, upbringing, values and beliefs together this is bound to happen. However, in order to have amazing lasting relationships we have to learn to work through our own stuff, and grow as a person so that we can grow in our relationships.
Adolescent cOUNSELING
We believe that this is a crucial time in a young person life. The decision made during this time could change the direction of their lives. The Adult Child / Parent relationships can also become strained during this time as now the Preteen and Teen are more likely to turn to peers for advice instead of parents. We would like to provide an outlet for them where they can talk about the struggles of handling academics, balancing school and social pressures. While providing them coping skills needed to manage common issues such as self-esteem.
gROUP cOUNSELING
This form of counseling allows clients with similar issues or concerns to meet and discuss those issues, learn, share information and explore problems as a group. Group Counseling could include from 2 to 10 clients depending on the topic. Groups meet for an hour and a half each session. Group Counseling can be attended in conjunction with individual counseling and often recommended. Some groups target specific problems such as Substance abuse while others may focus on social skills.
